Kollywood star Dhanush’s Telugu-Tamil bilingual project, Sir. The film’s Tamil title is locked as Vaathi. Directed by Venky Atluri, Sir is slated to hit the screens on February 17th in Telugu and Tamil languages simultaneously.
A few days back the film’s audio launch event happened in Chennai is well-established news. As the release date is nearing the makers unveiled the film’s theatrical trailer a couple of days back. For the trailer launch event, hero Dhanush, and heroine Samyuktha Menon among others graced and interacted with the audience.
Meanwhile, the latest we hear is that the makers are planning to hold the film’s pre-release event on February 14th in Hyderabad. An official announcement regarding the same is likely to be out shortly.
Going by the trailer, it is evident that the film revolves around the loopholes in the corporate education system and is set up in a rural backdrop. SIR/Vaathi is being bankrolled by young filmmaker Naga Vamsi under his Sithara Entertainments banner in association with Trivikram’s Fortune Four Cinemas banner. GV Prakash Kumar is the music composer for this social drama.
