Kollywood star Dhanush’s Tamil-Telugu bilingual project, Sir/Vaathi under the direction of Tollywood director Venky Atluri had a theatrical release on February 17th. Opened to decent reports, the film is performing beyond imagination at the box office. As per the trade reports, Sir/Vaati passed Monday litmus test with flying colors and collected a share of close to Rs 3 crore. For the four days, Sir/ Vaathi collected a worldwide share of Rs 29.86 crore. Below is area-wise break-up data.

As per the trade reports, the pre-release business for Sir/Vaathi is done for Rs 34 crore. As the film collected Rs 29.86 crore share in four days, it should collect less than Rs 5 crore share more to achieve break-even status and emerge as a clean hit. Considering the steady run for the past four days, Sir/Vaathi is likely to achieve break-even status by this weekend and emerge as a profitable venture for the buyers and makers.
