Simu Liu, the star of Shang-Chi, is not afraid to work in a Bollywood film and dance to Bollywood music.
With his flawless acting in “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings,” actor Simu Liu captivated audiences everywhere and became a global star. Without a doubt, Liu has a sizable fan base in India as well, and his arrival there would be greatly anticipated. The actor seemed to be even more excited to travel to the stunning nation and collaborate with some of the biggest names in Indian cinema, though.
When asked about Indian movies and how he would love to be in a Bollywood film, the Marvel star expressed his desire to participate.
Simu Liu, who plays Ken in the upcoming “Barbie” movie, was interviewed and showed his enthusiasm for Bollywood while also discussing his experiences working on the movie. In addition to discussing his next film, Liu shared his love of Bollywood and ambition to one day work in Indian cinema. The most recent album, “RRR,” left Liu quite impressed, calling it “phenomenal” and “absolutely incredible.” Liu compared Barbie to Bollywood, highlighting how both industries place a strong emphasis on musicianship, singing, and dance.
“RRR this year was incredible. It was really amazing, I guess. It astounded me. Barbie and Bollywood, in my opinion, have a lot in common. You know, there’s just the emphasis on musicality. Simu Liu stated in an interview that it is “such a natural thing for an actor to look at Bollywood and to want to, you know, kind of participate and want to be a part of it in some way.” There is such music, songs like singing and dancing, like, you know, the actors are, are performing and they are singing, and there have to be such triple threats.
He went on to emphasise how keen he was to make it happen by specifically expressing his wish to appear in a Bollywood dance performance. “So, yeah, I’m putting it out there,” Simu Liu continued. I’d like to appear in a Bollywood film. I’d like to take part in a Bollywood dance routine. I really want to make it happen, um.
Simu Liu’s desire to break into Bollywood is a reflection of Indian cinema’s expanding influence and appeal on the global stage. Not just him, but other actors have also voiced a wish to interact with Bollywood in light of its enormous influence on world film. As Liu’s career soars, his preference for Bollywood demonstrates his adaptability and willingness to experiment with a variety of cinematic genres.
Fans are anticipating the premiere of “Barbie,” in which Simu Liu’s portrayal of Ken is certain to enthral viewers and further solidify him as a versatile performer. Barbie, starring Ryan Gosling and Margot Robbie, has already sparked a lot of interest before its July 21, 2023, release date. ‘Oppenheimer,’ which is also slated to open in theatres on the same day, will, however, pose competition.
