Gautam Vasudev Menon is known for making candid confessions and controversial statements. As his new film Accham Enbadu Madamayida is ready for release, the maverick maker talked to media and as expected had few confessions to make and shared some exciting insights into his future projects and the ready to release film. When asked about his comments about Simbu and will he be ready to work with him, Gautham said those comments were in the heat of the moment and all the frustration was forgotten when he saw Simbu owning his character in Thallipogathey song and while dubbing for the film.
He said he would be happy to work with him again and Simbu cleared everything about his comments over two to three phone calls. About the delay, he said the Tamil Film did not have funding and so he took the film to Telugu with Naga Chaitanya and with those funds shot the film in Telugu and Tamil at the same time. When asked about the actors, he said Simbu is more natural and he does everything once convinced and own it. He needs prompting of the lines so that he can deliver them in the flow. For Naga Chaitanya he said he needs explanation about the situation and some references for the body language but he is soon becoming a seasoned professional. His next with Dhanush, Ennai Nokki Payum Thota is completed 80% it seems with 40 days of shoot and whenever Dhanush gives him another 15 days he will complete the film, he said. The film can be released in January it seems but Dhanush wants the film to be released in April.
Most of the film narration, goes with voice overs and Dhanush expressed that if the movie is executed as written on paper, it will be a big hit. He said AYM/SSS will be his most commercial film till date and he wants to tamper with commercial elements keeping his sensibilities intact. Dhanush’s film till now did not announce the music director and when asked, Gautham said he finished song shooting without songs as he is waiting for some music director come on board and will announce the music director by releasing a song.
About Yennai Arindhal’s box office director shared a bit of disappointment as it was his last release. He said he would have preferred the movie over Ajith’s Veeram or Vedalam, the box office money spinners. He said he is ready to work with Ajith again and is in talks with Suriya as well. About Dhanush, he said he doesn’t need prompting but he is equally natural as Simbu and doesn’t involve in writing much once he believes in a script. His Dhruva Nakshtram will come out sure in the future it seems and the movie will be a spy thriller like Bourne series. He wished to continue making profitable movies in his own style and soon the Pelli Choopulu remake will go on floors it seems. All the best Gautam and team.
