The South Indian International Movie Awards (SIIMA) is renowned for celebrating excellence in the Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada film industries. This year, the PAN Indian blockbuster RRR, starring Ram Charan and Jr. NTR, leads with 11 nominations for a Telugu movie, closely followed by the classic love story Sita Raman with 10 nominations.
In the Tamil category, Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan 1 takes the lead with 10 nominations, and Kamal Haasan and Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Vikram secure the second spot with 9 nominations. Sandalwood enthusiasts will witness a tough competition between Kantara and KGF 2, as both movies earned 11 nominations.
Additionally, 777 Charlie, Love Mocktail 2, and Vikrant Rona are also nominated for the “Best Kannada Film Award 2023.” In the Mollywood segment, Mammootty’s Bheeshma Parvam garners 8 nominations, while Tovino Thomas starrer Thallumaala receives 7 nominations.
The competition for the “Best Malayalam Film Award 2023” includes Hridayam, Jaya Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey, Jana Gana Mana, and Nna Thaan Case Kodu.
