The love narrative between Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani was left unfinished in the movie but was eventually realised in real life.
Although we were a little late in seeing the images from Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani’s wedding, it was definitely worth the wait. Their wedding pictures were nothing short of fantastic. In Shershaah, the two appeared together on film for the first time, and it had a huge impact on their lives. The public appearances that Sidharth and Kiara have made since getting married are really sweet. Sidharth recently discussed how closely their movie parallels his and Kiara’s real-life love story.
For those who are unaware, Shershaah is a biographical war movie based on the life of Vikram Batra, a martyr from the Kargil War. Also, it included Batra’s romance with Kiara’s Dimple Cheema, who was his bride-to-be. The movie was made available on the OTT service Amazon Prime Video. Fans have all agreed that although Sidharth and Kiara’s love story was left unfinished in the movie, it was ultimately realised in real life.
In an interview Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani spoke about their love story and their story’s deep connection with Shershaah. Sidharth said, “It felt like the real Vikram and Dimple, in some parallel universe, came together. Shershaah has given me so much love and a wife too, so what else do you need from a film? (laughs) I think it was meant to be. Much like us, Vishal Batra (Vikram Batra’s win brother) was extremely emotional and happy when he came to our wedding.” Kiara was asked about her radiant glow post-marriage, and she said, “The glow is real. This new life is wonderful. I’m very happy.”
At the News18 Showsha Reel Awards, Sidharth received the Best Actor Award, Popular Choice for his performance in the film Shershaah, which is closely related to the real-life romance between him and Kiara. Sid mentioned it, saying, “I’ve only been here for ten years. I shall always think fondly of the movie Shershaah. The movie has transformed the reel into reality. I’m thankful to Captain Vikram Batra’s family for their trust and to the audience for their support today, both on and off-screen. It’s an unforgettable movie and experience. I’m really connected to the Batra family,” Sidharth said after receiving his medal from Vishal Batra. We had so many encounters. Our affection for Captain Batra endures.
For her roles in Shershaah, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, Jugjugg Jeeyo, and Govinda Naam Mera, among other films, Kiara Advani, who had a particularly successful year in 2022, was given the Star Of The Year award. “I feel incredibly grateful,” she added. A very special year has passed. I consider myself really fortunate for the experiences I’ve had, the movies that have come out, and the support that each of them has received from the public. Shershaah opened things up, followed by Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, Jugjugg Jeeyo, and Govinda Naam Mera. The audience has universally praised these movies.
On the professional front, Sidharth Malhotra’s Yodha, along with his eagerly anticipated online series Indian Police Force, are slated to hit theatres this year. Kiara will co-star with Kartik Aaryan in Satyaprem Ki Katha at the same time. This is expected to be released on June 29, 2023.
