Siddharth Jadhav Discusses the Disappointment of his Movie Cirkus

Cirkus, directed by Rohit Shetty, was much anticipated. The movie had a rather weak start, and because of negative word of mouth, it failed to do well throughout the weekend. Between Friday and Monday, it fell by more than 50%, which determined its fate. Actor Siddharth Jadhav spoke candidly about Cirkus’ poor box office results.

The Rohit Shetty-directed movie Cirkus underperformed at the box office. Actor Siddharth Jadhav, who played a significant part in the movie, has now denounced Cirkus’ failure. During a conversation the actor said, “Kabhi kabhi Sachin sir bhi zero par out huye hain, iska matlab ye nahin ki woh bure hain. Issey pehle ke matches ke apne mazze liye the, so aage ki paari achchi khelenge (Sachin sir had also been out on zero sometimes but that doesn’t make him a bad player. He had fun in the previous matches, so, he planned to play better in the future).”

When asked if the cast and crew of the movie got together to discuss where they went wrong, Siddharth responded that the public had high expectations. We are in the entertainment business, and we constantly strive to amuse the public, he remarked. But I believe that this time, the audience had higher expectations of Rohit Shetty. Mujhe lagta hai iss baar audience ki expectations hi zyada thi from Rohit Shetty. “We will try to put our best foot forward the next time,” he continued.

In addition to Bollywood, the actor has carved out a place for himself in Marathi film. The actor also talked about the frequent mentions of successful South Asian movies. “Marathi film sabse upar hai,” he declared. On the professional front, Siddharth Jadhav’s upcoming film, Jaago Mohan Pyare, is directed by Priyadarshan Jadhav. Currently in post-production is the movie, which also has Aniket Vishwasrao and Deepti Devi in significant roles. In Lagna Kallol, he will appear with Mayuri Deshmukh and Bhushan Pradhan.
