Anurag Kashyap explains why he regrets not working with Sushant Singh Rajput on a project three months prior to the actor’s passing.
Alaya F has a crucial role in Anurag Kashyap’s next movie, “Almost Pyaar With DJ Mohabbat,” which is now being promoted. The director, who is renowned for being blunt and stating what is on his mind, recently made a surprising admission regarding the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput. On June 14, 2020, the actor committed suicide, shocking his friends, family, and fans. Kashyap revealed shortly after SSR’s passing that he had declined to engage with the actor about a project because he was resentful of the actor for ghosting him in the past.
The director revealed a clip of a conversation he had with someone who pitched the late actor in 2020. He even admitted in an interview that year that he was angry at SSR for abandoning their efforts together in favour of bigger films.
Anurag Kashyap recently spilled the beans about the entire situation and admitted that he now feels guilty about the moment when someone asked about a collaboration on behalf of Sushant Singh Rajput and he declined. He said it while going into great detail regarding his altercation with Abhay Deol.
“A lot has changed, but I know I have no filter,” Anurag Kashyap said. However, it has also helped me realise that I don’t have to tell everything.
For instance, the entire altercation between Abhay and I I provided some insight into my experiences, which occurred 13 years ago, when someone was writing an article about why a really talented actor like Abhay was no longer appearing in films. I didn’t have to say it aloud. And I felt awful on the day when the dreadful SSR incident occurred. I was like, “No, he ghosted me, I don’t want to chat,” although someone tried to get in touch with me three weeks earlier because he wanted to talk. You experience guilt.
I thus made an effort to get in touch with Abhay and apologised to him because someone had informed me that he was furious over my speaking negatively about him in public.
