Shruti Haasan: I felt happy when my parents separated

It is widely known that actor turned politician Kamal Haasan and yesteryear actress Sarika married in 1988. But sadly, due to reasons better known to them, the couple got divorced in 2004. Both Kamal Haasan and Sarika together have two daughters named Shruti Haasan and Akshara Haasan.

Meanwhile, in a recent web interview to a reputed online platform, Shruti Haasan opened up about her parents’ divorce and said that she was very young when her parents took divorce and she was happy with their mutual decision. Shruti went to explain that her parents are unique and beautiful in their own way but not happy as a couple. So instead of leading an unhappy married life, they both happily separated. Revealing Kamal and Sarika’s parenthood, Shruti said that they are the best parents individually and she shares a good bonding with both of them.

On the work front, Shruti Haasan has Prabhas’ pan-India project, Salaar in the pipeline. On the personal note, Shruti Haasan is dating a doodle artist named Santanu Hazarika for the past few years.
