Nandamuri Balakrishna is currently busy with director Boyapati Srinu’s Akhanda, the shooting of which resumed just yesterday. After Balayya wraps up Akhanda, he will start working on director Gopichand Malineni’s film. Gopichand has written the script based on real events, and Balayya is expected to play the role of a powerful police officer.
It was previously reported that Shruti Haasan had been approached to play the leading lady in the film, by director Gopichand, but that she refused the offer. However, sources say that the actress has said yes, upon the insistence of Gopichand. It is now being said that Shruti is putting on weight to convincingly play the part of a housewife in the film.
Shruti was recently seen in Gopichand’s superhit film Krack, alongside Ravi Teja. Her performance was well-received, and the action sequence that she was seen in, in the film, was the major highlight of the film. Gopichand is said to consider Shruti Haasanlucky for him, which is why he is said to be very determined on having her as the leading lady in the film so that her luck factor will add to the success of the film. It will definitely be interesting to see Shruti and Balayya’s pairing on the big screen if this information is true.
