After a streak of hit films in Tamil and Telugu, Shruti Haasan, managed to carve a place for herself in this industry on her own. Now, she is set to shoot with her dad, Kamal Haasan. She told in her recent interview that, “There were talks about dad and I working together for a very long time, even right after my debut film. But I told my dad, ‘Appa, I would like to earn a name for myself and then act with you, so that I have some confidence’. But looks like the time has come when the father-daughter duo have finally found a great script and the right time to star in a movie together. “This year, we have finalised it, and the shooting will start from April,” she told the In Recent Interview.
The actress who is all set to star with Naga Chaitanya in the Premam remake has also revealed in an interview that she is quite ready to play the former’s teacher and is not “apprehensive” at all and has made the role her own. She said, “Premam is a wonderful film, and Sai Pallavi (who played Malar) did a fantastic job in it. But it was for that film. This Telugu remake is a different film, and that’s how I approach remake films as fresh scripts. I have done my role in my style.”
