Filmnagar insiders say that Shriya Saran is going to play a mother’s role in Balakrishna’s film Gautamiputra Satakarni. The actress has played the role of a mother in her recent films Gopala Gopala and Drishyam in Hindi. Shriya will be essaying the role of Nandamuri Balakrishna’s wife in his most awaited 100th film.
The name of her character is Vasishta Devi, Gautamiputra’s wife and mother of two children. The director has made sure to formulate a strong characterisation for the actress. Buzz is that Vasishta Devi will be a defining role in the career of Shriya. The film will have strong female characters and Hema Malini who is playing Balakrishna’s mother will also have a good role etched out for her. Balakrishna and his crew is already done with two schedules and Shriya will now join in.
