Shraddha Kapoor has reportedly started shooting for her next film a biopic titled Eetha, based on the life of the legendary Tamasha artist Vithabai Narayangaonkar.
The film marks her first collaboration with director Laxman Utekar and is produced by Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films.
The news spread after a photo of the film’s clapboard went viral. Though an official announcement is yet to be made reports suggest that Ajay-Atul will compose the music.
Vithabai was one of Maharashtra’s most respected Tamasha performers known for her dedication to preserving the traditional folk art form. Eetha is expected to highlight her inspiring journey giving Shraddha a powerful performance driven role.
Shraddha who was last seen in Stree 2, hasn’t had a theatrical release this year but continues to stay active online, recently celebrating India’s Women’s World Cup 2025 victory with her fans.
