Shashtipoorthi: A Timeless Tale With A Musical Gem

The movie Shashtipoorthi starring Rupeysh, is set to release soon. The film features veteran actors Rajendra Prasad and Archana known for their iconic roles in Ladies Tailor.

A new song, Yedho Ye Janmalodo, has been released. Sung beautifully by Ananya Bhat, the song is special because of its unique composer-lyricist combination.

Ilaiyaraaja composed the tune while Keeravani wrote the lyrics which express a woman’s perspective on her partner. This marks the first time Keeravani has written lyrics for Ilaiyaraaja.

Director Pavan Prabha shared his experience of recording the song in Chennai with Ilaiyaraaja. He wanted meaningful and catchy lyrics so he approached Keeravani.

The film explores different phases of life including a nostalgic flashback set in Tathapudi near Yanam, where Rajendra Prasad and Archana appear just as they did 30 years ago.
