Maruthi Dasari started off his career as a producer with films like Premisthe and A film by Aravind. As a director of small films like Ee Rojullo, Bus Stop he revolutionised the Telugu Film Industry production by bringing in Digital cameras and relying on more cost effective methods in production. His success in the two films prompted him to launch a production house to help as many as young struggling filmmakers to realise their dreams of becoming successful makers. His Prema Katha Chitram became a blockbuster and gave him a great identity to look for even better films with big heroes. He got a chance to make direct Allu Shrish for Geeta Arts and Kotha Janta did not become such a huge hit as it was expected to.
He came back with a vengeance making a movie like Bhale Bhale Magadivoy that proved to be the biggest success in Nani and director’s careers. After the movie he stopped producing many movies and concentrated majorly on directing more movies. Lastly, he made Babu Bangaram with Venkatesh as hero but the movie turned out to be a very careless attempt from the director. He is now again trying to prove himself with Sharwanand’s movie. The movie will start rolling from 19th January after the release of Shatamanam Bhavati, the actors latest for Sankranthi. Mehreen, Krishna gadi Veera Prema Gadha fame will be acting as the female lead in the movie and UV productions will be producing the movie. The movie is said to be a comic capper with a different storyline.
