Sharvari Wagh To Play Female Lead In Imtiaz Ali’s Period Romance

Filmmaker Imtiaz Ali’s upcoming period romance drama has generated immense buzz, with Diljit Dosanjh, Vedang Raina, and Naseeruddin Shah already on board. However, the search for a female lead was still ongoing.

And now, as per a latest report in Pinkvilla, Imtiaz Ali has found his leading lady for the untitled film and has chosen Sharvari Wagh for the period-romantic film.

According to the news outlet, a source said that Imtiaz believed Sharvari was the ideal choice for the role and has the potential to make a significant impact in the film industry. It further added, “The yet-to-be-titled period love story is set to go on floors in April.”

Additionally, the source also revealed that Sharvari will be paired opposite Vedang Raina and shared, “It’s a different take on romance from everything done by Imtiaz to date, and the pre-production work has already begun.”

Apart from this, Sharvari has YRF’s spy-action thriller Alpha, co-starring Alia Bhatt. On the other hand, Imtiaz Ali is directing a feature film titled Idiots of Istanbul with Triptii Dimri and Fahadh Faasil and another love story starring Avinash Tiwary and Aditi Rao Hydari.
