Shankar known for delivering several blockbuster films is currently facing a very tough phase. His film Indian 2 turned out to be a big failure at the box office.
Because of this, the makers are not ready to invest more money in Indian 3 and the remaining shoot is still pending. Meanwhile Shankar has moved on to his dream project Velpari.
Reports say Lyca Productions is not willing to spend more money to complete the film.
Netflix which bought the OTT rights of Indian 2, has also stepped back from the deal for Indian 3.
The producers have reportedly asked Shankar and Kamal Haasan to finish the remaining shoot using part of their remuneration.
