Shankar’s Dream Project Moves Forward

Director Shankar is preparing to make his dream project Velpari based on the famous novel written by Su Venkatesan.

The filmmaker had already acquired the rights and plans to make it as a grand three part film series. Reports say the pre-production work has already started with Shankar and his team focusing on research, screenplay development, visual design, costumes and set work.

Since the film is set in a historical backdrop and the preparation is expected to take nearly a year before shooting begins.

Before starting Velpari, Shankar is reportedly planning to direct a quick action thriller with a young hero. Unlike his usual grand commercial films, this project will focus more on action and fast-paced storytelling.

Talks are currently happening with young actors for the lead role. An announcement about Shankar’s next project is expected soon.
