Director Shankar has become a huge brand as he started working with big names and delivering huge successes with them early in his career. Big names doesn’t just mean for cast but his crew members used to be the best in the business during the time. But the first senior and big box office hero, to give him a chance after Gentleman and Premikudu is Kamal Haasan.
Kamal Haasan and he teamed up to give us a memorable commercial formulaic classic, Bharateeyudu in Telugu/Indian in Tamil. In the end scene, after Bharateeyudu kills his own son to establish his firm belief in vigilante justice, the film teases his comeback.
Now, after 23 years after the release of the movie, there is a big chance that the sequel to Bharateeyudu will be made. As per the news reports, Dil Raju has been able to set this project with Kamal Haasan looking for a film that will boost his political ideas for his impending political entry.
Also, as Shankar has been keen on making a sequel to his popular films, he thinks there is a story to continue the Bharateeyudu Legend. As off now, post 2.0, the pre-production works of this movie will commence it seems. Dil Raju will be producing the movie in both Tamil and Telugu, as per the reports.
