Kamal Haasan and Shankar paired together again after many years for “Indian 2” but the film faced several delays. It is finally set to release on July 12th.
During a media interaction in Telugu Shankar was asked about his decision to make “Indian 3” and whether he had planned it before starting “Indian 2”.
Shankar explained that When I began filming “Indian 2” I had no plans for “Indian 3”. The original “Indian” was a film set in one state, but “Indian 2” covers stories from all across India. I was confident I could tell this expansive tale in one part without compromising. However after seeing the final edit I realized every episode was necessary. It is like how we can trim hair or nails but not fingers removing parts would lose the film essence. That is when I felt there should be an “Indian 3”.
Recently the shooting for “Indian 3” was completed and The movie is produced by Lyca Productions and Red Giant Films, and music by Anirudh Ravichander.
