Shankar changed the face of South Indian cinema several years ago, with his groundbreaking usage of visual effects in Indian cinema, like the way it was never used before. When it was announced that Ram Charan would be teaming up with Shankar for his follow-up film to Rajamouli’s RRR, everyone was excited. However, as soon as the film was announced, Tamil production house Lyca Productions filed a case against Shankar in the Madras High Court, saying that the director cannot start any film until he completes shooting for Indian 2.
With Shankar winning the case, all blockages for his film with Ram Charan were cleared. While there are no more problems now, Shankar is said to take a long time to complete any of his films, but it is being said that this is not going to be the case for Ram Charan’s film. It is being said that Shankar promised producer Dil Raju and Ram Charan that he would complete the film by Summer 2022.
Given that Shankar has announced the remake of Aparichitudu in Hindi, with Ranveer Singh, looks like Shankar is changing his style of filmmaking for Ram Charan this time, by speeding up the process of shooting. The film is expected to go on floors in August.
