Actress Shamili, the young Anjali papa, has won many awards and rewards as a child actor but she could not become similarly successful as a lead actress. Her sister, Shalini was able to do movies like Amarkalam, Sakhi that Tamil Audience and even Telugu audience remember dearly. She fell in love with Ajith and married him soon after. Shamili after long hiatus for studies, accepted the lead role in Telugu movie, Oye besides Siddharth.
The movie did not become a hit and her plans to become a lead actress have also gone into the drain. Her chubby looks became a major problem and the actress remained out of action ever since. She suddenly released few pics on internet of her transformation and soon few offers from Tamil and Malayalam cinema followed. Looking at her passion, Ajith himself took the photographs and she sent them across the offices as well. Her films in Tamil and Malayalam did not become hits but she is hopefully of a better career prospects once she gets a good hit.
Searching for that one break, she is now acting in the Telugu movie, besides Naga Shourya. The actor is currently acting in three movies simultaneously and this is said to be a love story. Shamili has started shooting for the movie in the direction of Pavan Sundar. The nature of her role and character is yet to be known. The actress transformation is still a big topic in Kollywood and if she can show off her acting prowess in the new film, may be her luck might change.
