Shakeel Noorani 73, has been arrested in Mumbai after a 33 year old actor filed a complaint against him.
She clearly said that Noorani invited her to his Malwani home to discuss a project and later sexually assaulted her. She also claimed that she was drugged and threatened after the alleged incident which was not fair.
Mumbai Police registered a case based on her complaint and arrested Noorani. He was produced before the Borivali Holiday Court which reportedly sent him to police custody until August 12th.
Police are investigating the allegations and collecting evidence without fail.
The charges against Noorani have not been proven in court and the investigation is ongoing. Noorani has worked as a writer, producer and director also.
