Shabana Azmi has tested positive for H1N1, also known as swine flu and has been advised by doctors to remain in isolation for five days.
She shared this update on social media after missing a protest in Mumbai that she had planned to attend for sure.
Despite her illness, Shabana expressed her support for the protesters and shared her father Kaifi Azmi’s poem Naujawan in solidarity with the youth.
Earlier she had joined the students protest at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar where she suffered an asthma attack after tear gas was used by police.
She later confirmed that she recovered with the help of her inhaler. Shabana continues to support the students movement for sure and has praised their courage and determination.
