Shaakuntalam’s first-week report at the box office

Shakuntalam, the mythological drama starring Samantha in the lead role hit the screens worldwide on April 14th. By the end of its two days, this Gunasekhar’s directional has collected a share of 4.32 crore at the worldwide box office. Below is area-wise breakup data.

As per the trade reports, Shaakuntalam should collect Rs 17.5 crore to achieve the break-even target. As the film has collected Rs 4.32 crore by the end of the first weekend, the film should collect Rs 13.18 crore more to emerge as a safe bet for the buyers.
