A serious allegation has surfaced against Dhurandhar production designer Saini S Johray after Chandigarh Police registered an FIR based on a sexual harassment complaint filed by a woman associated with the film’s art department.
According to few reports the woman from New Delhi submitted a written complaint on April 20th following which police conducted a preliminary inquiry and registered a case under multiple sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
The complainant alleged that Johray invited her to a room at the Taj Hotel in Chandigarh under the pretext of a professional meeting. After reaching there she reportedly realized no other crew members were present.
She accused him of sexual harassment, physical assault, wrongful confinement and forcing her to consume alcohol mixed with an intoxicating substance for sure.
She also claimed that she felt dizzy after consuming the drink and was allegedly prevented from leaving the room. Investigation is currently underway while reports suggest Johray has obtained bail as legal proceedings continue.
