He started his production with O Seetha Kadha in 1974 and continued with Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao has hero in films like Yeduruleni Manishi. Since then he always known to be a combo maker who sets impossible combinations for his films and deliver huge hits with makers like K Bappaiah and K Raghavendra Rao.
His Vijayanthi Movies has been the biggest production house in Telugu Film Industry over the years with films like Jagadekaveerudu Athiloka Sundari, Akhari Poratam, Indra, Agni Parvatam, Choodalani undi, Azad, Company. Unfortunately, he lost the success track with films like Sainikudu, Balu ABCDEFG, Jai Chiranjeeva and Shakti. Since he ventured into Television producing several shows and maintaining a channel, Local TV. Even though Television shows have been successful, he lost in maintaining a broadcasting Television and stayed away from production for few years.
He tried to transfer the mantle to his daughters with Three Angle Studios and Swapna Cinema, except for Yevade Subramanyam, nothing were profitable. Being known as a big producer, he is returning to production in a big way, with Mahesh Babu’s 25th film to be directed by Vamshi Paidipally, the director of Oopiri and Yevadu. The film will go on floors in the second half of 2017 and the movie will be produced in collaboration with Dil Raju. Senior Producer, is quite confident about the movie being his comeback and he wants to produce the sequel of JVAS with Ram Charan, as his next film after MB25, if everything goes as per his plans.
