Veteran actress, Krishnakumari who made a name for herself with more than 150 Telugu films acting as sister, wife, mother, lover and many roles in variety of movies. She made a great pairing opposite Sr. NTR and Kantha Rao. She lately, retired from acting after playing a role in Fools directed by Dasari Narayana Rao, many moons ago.
Currently, the actress is living in Bengaluru with her family and we got to know that she had been diagnosed with bone marrow cancer and she is taking treatment at Bannerghatta, Apollo hospital near Bengaluru in Karnataka. Her sister Shaukar Janaki is also with her during the tough times and the actress is fighting to recover from the deadly disease at her age.
The actress is popular for her roles in Bharya Bhartalu, Ardhangi, Gudi Gantalu, Chaduvukunna Ammayilu, Lakshadikari and many more. At one time she was called the glam doll of Telugu Cinema for her looks and acting skills. The 84 year old actress has been hospitalized from several days and her family is continuously looking after her. We wish for her speedy recovery on behalf of her fans and Telugu audience.
