Senior actor in talks for Gunashekhar’s Shakuntalam

It is well-known that senior director Gunashekhar’s has commenced the shooting for his ambitious mythological drama, Shakuntalam a few months ago. Starring star heroine Samantha in the titular role, despite the outbreak of Corona second wave, the film’s shooting is happening at specially erected sets in a studio in Hyderabad.

Meanwhile, the latest we hear is that senior actor Mohan Babu is in talks for the crucial Durvasa Maharshi character in the movie. An official announcement regarding Mohan Babu presence in Shakuntalam is expected to be out soon.

Also starring Malayalam actor Dev Mohan as Dushyantha, Shakuntalam is being bankrolled by Gunashekhar’s daughter Neelima. Dil Raju is the presenting and veteran music composer Mani Sharma is composing soundtracks for this high budget movie.
