Seetharama Sastry’s journey from Sirivennela to Padma Shri

Padma Shri is the fourth highest civilian award that any person can receive from the sovereign nation of India and before Republic Day, every year, Government announces these awards.

Among our Telugu Lyricists, Sirivennela Seetharama Sastry won this prestigious recognition while he is still at the top of his career. He got the award for his philosophical words and poems.

The writer entered into Films with Sirivennela and won Nandi awards back to back in 1986, 87 and 88. He received in total 11 Nandi awards and that is a record. He is also a philanthropist and his work has triggered many to make films just on the philosophy he wrote in his lyrics. We congratulate him for receiving such an honour.
