Sayaji Shinde Narrowly Escapes Bee Attack While Tree Re-Plantation Drive

A well-known environmentalist named Sayaji Shinde created the Nonprofit Sahyadri Devrai in 2015 to promote the preservation of wildlife.

Sayaji Shinde, a well-known Marathi and Hindi actor and environmental activist, narrowly avoided a potentially dangerous bee assault while taking part in a tree-replanting campaign on the Pune-Bengaluru Highway.

As Shinde, 64, and his colleagues were working to replant trees that had been uprooted in order to extend the Pune-Bengaluru Highway, the incident happened close to Taswade.

The players apparently disturbed a particular tree that was home to a massive honeycomb, causing an enraged swarm of bees to suddenly fly out in large numbers.

Sayaji Shinde, a Satara native, was immediately led to almost his car, where he passed asleep until the bees that were assaulting passed by and things returned to normal.

After the attack, Shinde told his volunteers and the local media that he was “unharmed” and that the replanting effort had restarted, appearing relieved.

Sayaji Shinde is a well-known environmentalist who formed the non-profit organisation Sahyadri Devrai in 2015 for the purpose of protecting nature, conserving and replanting trees to build forests with flora and fauna in the ecologically vulnerable Western Ghats and neighbouring areas.

Around 700,000 native trees have been successfully planted by Sahyadri Devrai to date. It also has 29 Devrai’s (Sacred Groves) throughout the state, two tree banks, bio-diversity parts, a butterfly garden, and rock gardens all over Maharashtra.

Sayaji Shinde is a well-known actor who has appeared in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, and Bhojpuri films. He is best known for his work in Bollywood blockbusters like “Jodi No. 1,” “Chhal,” “Mujhse Shaadi Karogi,” “Calcutta Mail,” “Darmiyaan – In Between,” “Shool,” and others.
