Savyasachi trade disappoints on Monday

Being the pre-festive season, many films are suffering from lean collections at the box office last weekend and on Monday too. Still, Savyasachi did manage a good turnout of Rs. 6.30 crore (share) from weekend just in two Telugu states.

The Worldwide collections of the film stand at Rs. 9.21 crores (share) as the first day and second day have been better in US and other territories. But Sunday and now, Monday till evening shows, the collections have been disappointing.

Movie needs to collect an amount of Rs.23 crores to achieve breakeven and the trend is not encouraging. From 6th Vijay’s Sarkar, 8th Aamir-Amitabh’s Thugs of Hindosthan films are going to occupy maximum theatres.

This will be a huge problem for Savyasachi but the fans seems to have given up on the movie. Many are disappointed with Chandoo Mondeti as he promised a good fresh commercial film but turned up with an outdated one. Anyways, families the real strength of Naga Chaitanya are yet to come out and post festival if the movie survives the two big dub films, it could minimise the losses.
