This is Kartik and Kiara’s second film together, before that, they worked together in ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’ which was a huge hit. Today the film has been released on the occasion of Bakrid. Story: The film is the story of Gujarat’s Sattu i.e. Satyaprem (Karthik Aryan), who has failed in law. Now his family members want to get him married. Whereas, the second character of this film is Katha (Kiara Advani) who is the daughter of a big businessman, in whom Sattu falls in love. Meanwhile, Katha’s boyfriend cheats on her. Now Katha is married to Sattu without Katha’s consent. But then after marriage, a secret is revealed which shakes the lives of both of them. To know this secret and further story, watch ‘Satyaprem Ki Katha’!
Performance: Karthik fits perfectly in the character of Sattu, he has played the character of a Gujarati and the Gujarati accent brilliantly. Kiara Advani has also played the character of Katha well. His work is commendable for this character. Kiara fits perfectly in the role of Katha. Gajraj Rao and Supriya Pathak have also done well in the role of Sattu’s parents. Rajpal Yadav’s role is small, but still, he has done a good job in such a small role.
Technicalities: Directed by Sameer Vidwans, this film is okay from everywhere. Although this film could have been made a little better. The issue he chose for the film should have been said a little more forcefully.
Analysis: To call this film a romantic comedy film, but this film also gives a very big message to society. When the trailer of the film came, I could not watch the trailer. This is the real story of the film.
The first half of the film takes the story forward with comedy, but the second half turns emotional. The film moves forward slowly which adds to the suspense. At one point the film seems to be over but then the story moves forward. The film focuses more on emotion while telling the story. In today’s era, this film has brought a very big message, which says that if a girl does not say, then it does not mean anything. The message of the film is somewhat similar to that of Amitabh Bachchan and Taapsee Pannu’s ‘Pink’, but Sameer Devashans tells the story with a bit of romance and emotion in the film.
Verdict: Overall, this film is worth watching, especially since every youth must watch this film. The message that the film has taken, it should reach every family.
Rating: 2.5/5
