Satish Kaushik passed away Thursday morning at 66 due to a heart attack

Famous actor and director Satish Kaushik passed away at the age of 66. Excluding a flourishing movie career, he was also seen in TV shows like Sumit Sambhal Lega. According to the sources, the late actor was at a friend’s home in Delhi when he complained of uneasiness. He asked his driver to take him to the city hospital, and he suffered a heart attack. His cadaverous remains are at the Fortis Hospital, Gurugram, and will be taken to Mumbai after conducting the postmortem. He had attended a Holi bash arranged by Javed Akhtar only the day before, on March 7.

Actress Kangana Ranaut, who directed Kaushik in her directorial debut film ‘Emergency’, also expressed her condolences. She said Kaushik was his “biggest cheerleader.” The late actor will be seen playing the role of activist and politician Jagjivan Ram in Kangana Ranaut-starrer’ Emergency’.

“I woke up to this horrible news; he was my biggest cheerleader, a very successful actor and director Satish Kaushik ji personally was also a very kind and genuine man. I loved directing him in ‘Emergency. He will be missed, Om Shanti.”

The actor-director Satish Kaushik made captivating movies such as ‘Tere Naam’ and ‘Roop Ki Rani Choron Ka Raja’, which he directed. He also starred in films like Jaane Bhi Do Yaaron, Mr India, Saajan Chale Sasural, Sharmaji Namkeen, Thar and Chhatriwali.
