Sathyaraj’s Daughter Divya Files Defamation Suit In Madras HC

Sathyaraj’s daughter Divya Sathyaraj has filed a Rs 1 crore defamation case against actor Bayilvan Ranganathan in the Madras High Court.

The case follows remarks allegedly made about her after she spoke about marriage and relationships in a YouTube interview.

Divya has claimed that the statements made about her were false and defamatory. The Madras High Court has granted her interim relief and directed Bayilvan Ranganathan not to circulate the alleged statements.

Google, Facebook and X have also been asked to prevent the content from being shared on their platforms.

Divya is seeking Rs 1 crore in damages along with interest and a permanent order preventing further allegedly defamatory statements. The case is ongoing.
