Karthi enjoys a good following among Telugu audiences, with films like ‘Kaithi’ and ‘Sardar’ becoming successful. The makers released ‘Sardar 2’ on October 10th, with Annapurna Studios distributing it in the Telugu states.
The sequel had decent expectations, but it received negative talk on the first day and opened only moderately. Collections dropped from the second day and remained low throughout the weekend. The weekday performance has been even weaker.
