Currently, Sara Ali Khan is basking in the success of her most recent film, Zara Hatke Zara Bachke. Given her prior relationship with cricketer Shubman Gill, she was recently asked about the idea of marrying a cricketer. Sara chose not to give a firm response in her diplomatic response to the question.
In a recent interview, Sara was asked if she would think about following in the footsteps of her grandmother Sharmila Tagore and wed a cricketer. Sara openly acknowledged that she does not place much value on a partner’s career. She said, “I think that the kind of person that I am, to find somebody it doesn’t matter what they do — actor, cricketer, businessman, doctor… Maybe not doctors, they will run away. But you know the truth is that jokes apart, you will need to match me on the mental and intellectual level. And if you can do that, I think it’s great, wow but I think that would matter to me much, much more (than the profession).”
When asked if she wants to get married to someone from present Indian team she said, “I’ll be honest with you, I think and I can say this with almost assurity, I think the person I am going to be in my life I have not met so far. I really don’t think so.”
In the meantime, Sara Ali Khan has a compelling slate of films coming out. She owns Ae Watan Mere Watan, Murder Mubarak by Homi Adajania, and Metro by Anurag Basu. Dino is scheduled to be released this year. In contrast, Vicky’s Sam Bahadur, Sanya Malhotra, and Fatima Sana Shaikh are all featured in the film, which is based on the real-life experiences of Field Marshall Sam Manekshaw.
