Produced by Madhura Sreedhar Reddy and directed by Sanjeev, “Santhana Prapthirasthu” stars Vikranth. The film deals with a sensitive topic, low sperm count in men. How the team handled this subject and how audiences connected with it, let’s see.

Santhana Prapthirasthu Movie Story: Chaitanya (Vikranth Reddy) lives a happy life with a good job, caring family, and a loving wife. But his world changes when he learns he has very low sperm count. The movie follows his attempts to fix the issue and the emotional and social struggles he faces during the process.

Performances: Vikranth deserves praise for choosing such a bold story. In an industry that shows heroes as perfect men, portraying a hero with low sperm count is appreciable. Vikranth has improved as an actor but still needs better expressions.

Chandini Chowdary acts well, yet giving her a different dubbing voice feels awkward and unnecessary.
Murali Sharma gets a strong full-length role after a long time and performs very well. Abhinav Gomatam’s comedy timing and dialogues bring good laughs throughout.

Technical Aspects: Director Sanjeev Reddy picked a bold topic and handled it without any vulgarity, which deserves appreciation. He used Telugu actors and mixed the sensitive concept with family emotions well. But the screenplay needed more care, some scenes didn’t work as expected, though the emotional ending was effective. Overall, Sanjeev impressed as a writer and director.

Sunil Kashyap’s songs are okay, but the background score could have been stronger. Cinematography is decent. Editor Saikrishna kept the film crisp with good transitions. The art and production teams did solid work.

Analysis: Earlier, movies always blamed women for fertility issues, and heroes were shown as perfect. But Santhana Prapthirasthu breaks that pattern by giving the hero a low sperm count. Director Sanjeev Reddy handles the topic with clean humour and emotion, making it a fun entertainer with a message that encourages men to talk openly about such problems.

Verdict: This film stands out for presenting male fertility issues without embarrassment. With clean comedy and heartfelt moments, Santhana Prapthirasthu offers both entertainment and awareness. It may not be perfect, but its intent and treatment make it a worthwhile, relatable watch.

Bottom Line: A clean, sensible entertainer that mixes humour and message well.

Rating: 3/5
