Sankranti is a major season for the Telugu film industry, with almost every actor trying to get their film released for the festival. This year’s Sankranti was supposed to see the release of RRR and Radhe Shyam, but the release of both these films got postponed due to the wide spreading of the omicron variant of coronavirus.
With this year’s Sankranti over, everyone is now looking at Sankranti 2023, with a lot of films even locking their release date for the festival. It was first expected that Ram Charan’s film with director Shankar would be released for Sankranti, but the film’s release got pushed. And yet, there are at least three more films ready to release for the festival.
Mahesh’s film with director Trivikram, the shooting of which is yet to begin, is expected to be released for Sankranti. Vijay’s bilingual film with director Vamshi Paidipalli is also eyeing Sankranti and even Megastar Chiranjeevi’s film with Bobby is said to be eyeing a Sankranti release. On the other hand, there’s Prabhas’s Adipurush, which is set for a Sankranthi release.
