The much anticipated film starring Vijay Devarakonda, ‘Family Star,’ was initially expected to hit screens without any delay. However, recent buzz suggests a possible postponement from its January 13, 2024, release date, shocking eager movie enthusiasts.
While there’s no official confirmation regarding the delay, various sources hint at producer Dil Raju’s reluctance to proceed with the scheduled release. Despite his involvement in distributing other films like ‘Guntur Kaaram,’ ‘Hanu-Man,’ and ‘Saindhav’ for select areas during the Sankranthi season, the decision to postpone ‘Family Star’ seems linked to Raju’s dissatisfaction with certain segments of the movie crafted by director Parasuram.
Dil Raju has always taken an active role in post-production, scrutinizing and choosing the movie’s finished product. Even though substantial parts of ‘Family Star’ are yet to be shot, especially in the United States, the producer reportedly urged the director for reshoots to enhance the movie’s quality.
This ongoing effort led to the conclusion not to release the film during the Sankranthi festival, although Dil Raju has not officially addressed these developments. the delay of ‘Family Star’ seems to stem from the producer’s desire for better quality, prompting reshoots and adjustments before its eventual release, despite initial expectations for a timely debut.
