Sankranthi biggies – NTR Kathanayakudu, Petta, Vinaya Vidheya Rama and F2 are releasing for Sankranthi starting from 9th January till 12th January. Every movie got the screens the producers could manage and they have opened booking too.
But the advance bookings of the movies aren’t creating as much fan frenzy as expected. NTR Kathanayakudu picked up towards the evening on 8th January, but it still is at 45% fulls only.
Petta is good in the limited screens but the movie still needs to improve as it is looking at just 55% opening on 10th at this rate. Vinaya Vidheya Rama is looking good at B and C centres and is looking at 60% opening but going by the buzz people expected a good 75 to 80% already.
F2 is very slow and it is still looking at just 35% and as it has still three days to pick up, we can look at 70% opening by 11th January, if it can keep up the buzz during the post release promotions of other biggies. Last Sankranthi seasons biggies created more fan frenzy and were looking at 70% fulls three days prior to release.
