After the cricketer updates his social media bio, divorce rumours between Shoaib Malik and Sania Mirza resurface.
Sania Mirza, an Indian tennis player, and Shoaib Malik, a Pakistani cricketer, have recently made news for their rumoured divorce. Sania’s mysterious messages sent since November 2022 added fire to the rumours, but neither Shoaib nor Sania had commented on them. Instead, the duo proceeded to win over their fans and following with their OTT series “The Mirza Malik Show.” However, it appears that the most recent incident, which has renewed attention on the couple’s divorce, has let the cat out of the bag.
The former captain of the Pakistani team had previously listed himself as the “Husband to a Superwoman @mirzasaniar” on social media. The seasoned T20 all-rounder, though, modified the bio on his official Instagram account, so it is no longer the same.
The ‘husband’ reference on Shoaib Malik’s Instagram name appears to have been removed, leading some admirers to speculate that Sania and Shoaib may soon be divorcing.
The allegations of their breakup were initially started by Sania Mirza on November 11, 2017, when she posted a mysterious Instagram story with the caption, “Where do shattered hearts go? Locate Allah. Their divorce is said to have been brought on by the cricketer’s alleged adulterous relationship with Pakistani actress Ayesha Omar.
The former captain and Pakistani actress Ayesha Omar were shown together in a sultry photo shoot back in 2011. After Sania’s rumoured divorce, people began to speculate that Ayesha Omar’s closeness to Shoaib may have been detrimental to his marriage to Sania Mirza. Shoaib, however, had refuted all of the divorce allegations and insisted that they were simply “busy with their sporting commitments.”
Should we call Sania Mirza to help out? the interviewer questioned Shoaib Malik earlier this year when he was asked his thoughts on how to resuscitate India-Pakistan bilateral cricket. The sportsman said, “We don’t get much time to live together! Humey saath mey rehna ka time nahi mil raha!”
Ayesha has also denied all the accusations that she had an affair with Shoaib Malik, claiming that she would never find a married or committed man attractive.
For the uninitiated, Sania Mirza, who ended her career as a professional tennis player last year, wed Shoaib Malik in 2010. Izhaan is the name of the couple’s son.
