Sanghamitra gets a new lead!

The most prestigious project from South India after Baahubali and 2.0, is Sanghamitra. The multi crore, multi-lingual film is aimed to be the next big production from Tamil Cinema. After the initial announcement at Cannes Film Festival, Shruthi Hassan decided to drop out from the project and in her place, Hansika Motwani, Kajal are suggested as replacements. But the news did not turn out to be true.

Now, according to multiple sources, the team has decided to take Disha Patani as the lead actress of the movie. As she is a growing name and also proved her acting talent in MS Dhoni, director Sundar C, is interested in casting her. After a lot of discussions and script narration, the young actress has given her acceptance in principle and the makers are planning to make a big official announcement confirming the news reports.

This movie has Jayam Ravi and Arya as leads. This is said to be a historical fantasy like Baahubali and the budget is quoted to be as high as 350 crores for two films. The movie will release in three languages, Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. The official update on shooting dates is yet awaited. A.R. Rahman will compose music for this movie.
