Sandeep Kishan, the man who had a good run at the box office after Venkatadri Express, slowly lost the ground with continuous flops and even his dubbed movie, Nagaram did not work for him any magic this year. Being in a tough position, Sandeep pinned all his hopes on Nakshatram and he believes at least this movie can get him back some winning form to go forward.
Nakshatram is directed by Krishna Vamsi, the man who gave classics like Murari, Ninne Pelladutha, Gulabhi, Antahpuram, Khadgam, has been struggling with his form as well from past few years and he needs Nakshatram to work big time. His previous movie, Govindudu Andarivadele, did not became a massive hit and the director’s hope on a big came back were trashed by the movie during the time.
The movie is a cop story trying to talk about the need of a good cop in the society and how that can be achieved. While Sandeep plays a young cop who got recruited recently, Prakash Raj will be his guiding angel who will show him the difference between a good cop and a bad cop. Pragya Jaiswal will be donning the Khakhi too for the first time. In an important role, Sai Dharam Tej will be playing a cameo and Regina Cassandra will be another lead actress. The film has completed all the Talkie portion and one song shoot will be completed soon. Producers will announce the release date soon as per the close sources.
