Sameera Reddy discusses her “s*xy Sam” phase in Bollywood, during which she subsisted on just one “idli” in order to maintain the ideal standards of beauty!
Bollywood actresses had to go through a lot of behind-the-scenes work in addition to the “eye candy” phase in order to live up to that moniker. Many divas have disclosed how they were asked to undergo operations for larger chests and better buttocks, albeit the casting couch still plays a part. The most recent addition, Sameera Reddy, discusses her “s*xy Sam” period.
Lately, Sameera has used all of her weaknesses to her advantage. She is breaking the “ideal beauty standards” by normalising stretch marks, grey hair, and other imperfections. The actress has previously spoken openly about her postpartum period, including how she cut off all contact with others and experienced severe breakdowns in order to come to grips with her body.
In 2002, opposite Sohail Khan, Sameera Reddy made her Bollywood debut in Maine Dil Tujhko Diya. She previously received the moniker “s*x symbol” due to the glitzy personas she portrayed on TV. She managed to remain unnoticed despite all the glitz and glamour because she starved herself and lived off of “one” idli.
In an interview with mid-day, Sameera Reddy stated, “I suppose there was a crazy time about ten years ago where everyone was undergoing plastic surgery, b**b jobs, changing noses, or bone structure. I was told to get a b**b job done and was required to always pad my chest. I would frequently ask myself, “Should I? Because it was so freely discussed, I wondered, “Is this the norm?,” and as an actor, I questioned if I had to do it. But I refrained, and I’m so glad I did because I wouldn’t have felt at ease about it today.
“Many people choose corrective surgery, and that is their option,” she concluded. I respond, “Live and let live; who are we to judge? If it makes them happy.”
We are quite proud of Sameera Reddy since she has come a long way.
