Samantha Akkineni is busy promoting two films in Tamil and Telugu. She has U-Turn releasing in both the languages and Seema Raja in Tamil for Vinayaka Chavithi. Samantha also is having to face a competition from her husband Naga Chaitanya, as on the same day, Shailaja Reddy Alludu is also releasing. The actress about the situation said, “I want all the films to work and I will enjoy my husband’s success more for sure.”
She continued, “I am not saying that I will be happy my films don’t work. No way. I will enjoy his success more but will wish for success of my films too. These days, small movies have become the most marketable films than the big star films. Even if you’re a star or if you’re not one, the guarantee of a film success now lies in the hands of a script. If script is not good, no matter whomever is working movie is a flop and if script works then the newcomer can also become, a star.”
She then said, “There are perks of being a star as it is achieved after years of hardwork. We toil hard to reach a position where we become a symbol to audience of good cinema, which is called stardom and star status. I am happy to be in such position but the times are changing and we need to evolve and concentrate on scripts more.” She thanked all her fans for being a pillar of support all the years and wished that they will enjoy, U-Turn.
