Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s new series “Citadel: Honey Bunny” is now streaming on Amazon Prime. In the show, Samantha plays a spy and had to do intense action scenes.
During filming, she was diagnosed with Myositis, which made things very challenging. In an interview, Samantha shared how tough it was, saying she initially didn’t think she could even leave her house, let alone act.
But with the support of the “Citadel” team, she put her trust in them, something she hadn’t done before in her 37-year career.
Varun Dhawan praised her strength and dedication, recalling times when he worried about her health on set, like when she used an oxygen tank to keep going.
“She didn’t need to push herself like that, she could have taken a break,” he said. He shared another moment from filming in Serbia when she collapsed while running in a scene.
“I tried to call for a pack-up, but she insisted on continuing. Her determination lifted everyone’s spirits,” Varun said, adding that Samantha’s courage inspired the whole team.
