Sree Vishnu is a very talented actor and has been doing experimental stuff. His last two films flopped at the box office and that is the reason he has changed gears and is ready with a family drama titled Samajavaragamana. The film’s producers are airing various shows as they are confident about the result of the film. Read our review to know if the film is really worth the hype or not.

Story: Balu(Sree Vishnu) is a family man who takes the lead and shares a very jovial relationship with his dad(Naresh). One fine day, his dad brings a girl named Sarayu(Reba Monica John) to live with his family. Sarayu falls for Balu and after a while, he too says yes. But the twist in the tales arises when Balu goes to Sarayu’s place for a wedding and there everyone treats Balu as Sarayu’s sister. What is all this confusion of brother and sister between two lovers and how will it be solved is the story of Samajavaragamana.

Performances: Sree Vishnu is superb in the film. His comedy timing is on point and he creates a lot of antics with his funny dialogue delivery. The manner in which he has been showcased as a funny man is so good to see. But it is senior actor Naresh who steals the show here. He as a college-going student is hilarious. All his scenes with Sree Vishnu are superb and evoke solid laughs in the first half.

Reba Monica John is also beautiful in the film and is amazing in the film. Vennela Kishore as the caste fanatic evokes good laughs in the film. The rest of the key cast was also good in the film. Srikanth Iyengar was good in his role and Sudhakar who plays the hero’s friend is also neat in his comedy role.

Technicalities: The film has superb dialogue which is contemporary and evokes tongue-in-cheek humor. Special mention to the dialogue writer who steals the show with his work. The manner in which the film is kept short and sweet is the best part.

The story is simple and does not provide anything new but it is the screenplay of Ram Abbaraju that holds the attention till the end. The music is good and the visuals are good. The family drama is kept light and there are not many melodramatic moments in the film that are routine.

Analysis: Samajavaragamana is filled with loads of entertainment. The trailer itself gives an idea that the proceedings are going to be light. There is hardly any boring moment in the film and director Ram Abbaraju has showcased scenes in a way that will attract one and all. The manner in which the father and son track is highlighted in the first half is the best part of the film.

The proceedings are light-hearted and there are not many twists. The only drawback is too much usage of the word siblings for two lovers which looks a bit odd. The second half has many repeated scenes and the comedy also looks forced in several scenes. But the ending has been justified in a proper manner and this leaves the audience with a smile on their faces.

In a way, Samajavaragamana is a simple point but the manner in which it is executed is the best part. There is nothing special but the performances of Naresh and Sree Vishnu will hold your attention until the end.

Verdict: Samajavaragamana is a fun family drama that has the right mix of comedy and romance. Barring the predictable narration, this film provides decent entertainment and can be given a shot by the entire family.

Bottom Line: Clean comedy
