Salman Khan has moved the Delhi H.C seeking an immediate halt to the production, promotion and release of the upcoming film Kala Hiran: The Battle for Legacy.
Reports suggest that the actor believes the film is based on his long running 1998 blackbuck poaching case and contains references that resemble his public image and legal history.
Salman has reportedly argued that the film teaser, posters and promotional material indirectly identify him and may damage his reputation.
His team had earlier sent a notice asking the makers to stop the project and remove related content but the filmmakers chose to continue and defend their stand without fail.
Produced by Amit Jani and the film has already created controversy due to its alleged links to the blackbuck case. The court’s decision is expected to play a key role in determining the film’s future.
