Salman Khan Explains ‘Tiger 3’s’ Low Box Office Numbers

In Bollywood, movies like “Pathaan” and “Jawan” sparked hope after a long industry slump. “Pathaan” notably marked Shah Rukh Khan’s successful return, reasserting his box office prowess. On the other hand, Salman Khan’s “Tiger 3” was expected to recreate this success but fell short in its box office performance.

While “Tiger 3” fans cite reasons like the World Cup and Diwali for its slow collections, many believe the film’s content lacked the expected impact. Salman Khan defended the film’s collections by stating it was released with affordable ticket prices to save people money, claiming this affected the film’s trade and collections.

However, this reasoning seems peculiar as “Tiger 3” didn’t offer discounts initially and still ran in multiplexes with premium charges as usual. The prices in single screens remained unchanged. Salman Khan’s recent comments about the film’s collections and his intention to have affordable ticket prices contradict the actual scenario.

Although ticket prices for “Tiger 3” in PVR and INOX multiplexes eventually dropped to a flat rate of 150 rupees after two weeks, Salman’s explanations for the film’s performance appear perplexing. Despite his assurance that upcoming films will have premium ticket prices and deliver expected numbers, Salman Khan’s remarks on box office figures have gained attention online.
